Our program will continue to follow a development focused training model that focuses on a high volume of reps, individual skills, skating, team tactics, small area games and drills. Development hours are critical to the development of the skills of our young athletes and allowing them to play the game at their best.
For the 2024-25 Hockey Super League season, our Alberta Pro Hockey programs will start the near the end of August and will continue weekly through the season until the HSL Championships are completed.
Alberta Pro Hockey strives to secure home rinks for each of its teams, but players and families should understand that practice rinks may vary throughout the year. Additionally, HSL showcase weekends are held across Alberta and potentially beyond and the season will include 3 - 4 weekends of travel, which may include Fridays.
Each individual program will offer the following development hours and games, as listed below:
- Consist of a guaranteed 95+ hours of on-ice development practice hours
- Minimum of 2 skill development practices/month (est. 12 - 14 sessions) ran by Alberta Pro Hockey Development Coaches.
